Diana & Jerrohn's Wedding at Rock Creek Country Club, OR

We were so happy to be booked for this wedding based on a referral from the couple’s photographer and our friend, Monica Martinez, of Jane and Co. Photography. The bride, Diana, is Ukrainian so we knew it would be a fun party and a multicultural celebration.

The day started off with the bride and groom, Jerrohn, getting ready at the Embassy Suites in Hillsboro, OR. It’s so important for the photos and video that you choose a clean and bright space for cinematic results. This space had so much light and was the perfect spot for them to get ready. Diana and her girls wore silky floral robes and we got some amazing video of all of them jumping on the bed! Mallory from Blossom and Beauty did most of the bridesmaids gorgeous hair and makeup looks as well as the brides. She put on her dress from The White Dress PDX by designer Stella York in front of the window.

After Aly filmed the girls and Krishna filmed the guys, we headed over to Pittock Mansion, a historical house in NW Portland for the First Look and bride and groom photos/video. MacCoy Merkley of MacCoy Dean Photography, and also one of our friends, second shot for Monica through the ceremony. We raced to the venue to get footage of the bridal party and family before the ceremony.

This multi-cultural wedding was one to be remembered. Diana, the bride, is from the Ukraine, so her family partied hard to traditional songs like Hava Nagina. DJ ATM used vinyl control decks to mix songs, both old and new, with traditional Ukranian favorites. The party kept going in the clubhouse as friends played tracks, kids slept, and people partied some more! Check out their Preview Film for a glimpse of this awesome day!

Jenny & Clay's Love Story Film

Sometimes we have the pleasure of working with our couples before their wedding day and filming a Love Story film for them. Last week we filmed Jenny and Clay at the Yaquina Lighthouse on the Oregon Coast, the exact spot where he proposed! For this film, we did on-camera interviews instead of just audio, to make the couple’s vision come to life. We absolutely love collaborating with our clients and putting into film what they imagine in their heads.

After filming at the Lighthouse, we drove over to Newport, OR where they had their celebratory meal. Well, not quite celebratory, because Clay hadn’t proposed yet when they went to dinner because it was storming outside! Luckily, the weather was amazing the next day and his proposal happened right where he wanted it. They went for a walk near the docks where sea lions were at first making noise and then full-on fighting each other. For each Love Story film we do a long version for them to watch with each other and their future generations and a 1-minute version perfect for sharing on Instagram and anywhere else. It helps us so much to get to know our clients before their wedding day and now we feel so comfortable with each other and they know how we work.

Robin & Beau's Wedding in Breckenridge, CO

We met the groom, Beau, when he was DJing a wedding that we were filming in San Jose, CA. Immediately we knew he was an awesome person with a good heart. So, when he reached out to us to ask if we travel for weddings, we jumped at the opportunity to film his wedding in the beautiful mountain town of Breckenridge, Colorado.

We flew into the Denver International Airport on Friday and drove two hours into the Tenmile Mountain Range, where the air is thin and the trees were changing their leaves into fall colors. Saturday morning, we headed to the bride, Robin’s, parents house to film her and her bridesmaids getting ready and hanging out. Christy Ogden from Divine Beauty got the girls and the bride camera ready with flawless hair and makeup. We met Frances Marron of Frances Photography and it’s always nice to meet the vendors in new areas we work. Krishna left to film Beau and his groomsmen nearby at Mountain Thunder Lodge.

Over at the venue, Tenmile Station, Robin out on her Carolina Herrera ballgown and dramatic veil perfect for the drama of the mountains all around. Emily Campbell from Bella Design and Planning put together a comprehensive schedule that helps all of the vendors days go smoothly. She designed the reception tent with round and rectangle tables topped with huge centerpieces of greenery by Bloom Flower Shop. Each place setting had gold and black silverware and a mcintosh apple to honor Robin’s last name.

They were married outside by a close friend of theirs who was also one of Robin’s bridesmaids. There was a wooden floor runway for the aisle and the backdrop was the ski runs and multicolored trees. After the ceremony, the guests headed inside Tenmile Station where they had mocktails and appetizers. The reception tent was revealed to the bride and groom with their ornate tablescapes and modern lounge seating provided by Eclectic Hive. The guests took their seats followed by the introduction of Beau and Robin as husband and wife! They cut the multi-tiered white cake by Katy Pierson Cake and then did a choreographed first dance to “You Make Me Feel Like Dancing”. The Dance Doctors live band did an incredible job of getting the party started with their awesome renditions of oldies and new pop music.

Katie & Charlie's Wedding at the Columbia Gorge Hotel

Katie and Charlie’s romantic outdoor wedding was set in the perfect location for the vibe of the day. The Columbia Gorge Hotel & Spa sits right next to the Columbia River with incredible views, a back patio for cocktail hour, and even a waterfall. The day started off with the girls getting ready at the Gorge Style Salon in Hood River, OR. The guys got ready in the bridal suite at the hotel and headed over to St. Mary’s Catholic Church for the early ceremony. Their priest, Father David, officiated the ceremony in his deep, booming voice which sounds amazing in the final video. The bride and groom left for the Columbia Gorge Hotel in a classic blue Fiat convertible, a wedding present from Charlie’s dad to his mother on their wedding day.

The reception kicked off with spectacular views at the back patio with cocktails and passed hors d’ oeuvres. Your Perfect Bridesmaid planned and coordinated the event perfectly and matched the decor and florals with the setting. Lucy’s Informal Flowers created wild bouquets with pinks, white, and greenery cascading down. Everyone moved to the lawn area for dinner and reception time. The space had string lighting draped back and forth to create a romantic feel for the evening. The bride and groom’s first dance took place as the sun was setting and we even stole them away right after to explore the grounds and grab some video of them. Heidi from Uncommon Muse was a joy to work with and collaborated with us all day.

Alan Curtiss from GeoARI got amazing aerial footage so we could focus on the video on the ground. Jesse from Event Team Entertainment is one the best in the business and mixed oldies with new dance music for the party that continued until 1:00 am! Seriously, the dance floor was on fire all night.

Olivia & Ely's Wedding in Oregon City

Olivia and Ely’s Wedding at the Abernethy Center in Oregon City was a special one, not because of the setting or the decor, but because of the special people involved. We met Olivia 3 years ago at her sister, Emily’s wedding in Junction City. Two years ago we flew to Michigan to film their family friend’s wedding and had a wonderful experience. Suffice to say, we were very excited for this bride’s special day to come. Both Olivia and Ely are such kind and generous souls and we felt nothing but love from them on their wedding day. Becky Hart from Event Crush planned the event and Ashley Cook Photography took photos of these amazing people.

Olivia and her bridesmaids got ready for the wedding at an Airbnb in West Linn that had beautiful windows and bright walls perfect for filming. Krishna left the bride’s rental to film Ely and his guys getting ready at The River’s Edge Hotel in Portland. After everyone was finished with prep, we all headed to the Abernethy Center for the First Look and photos.

Their ceremony took place in Abigail’s Garden under a canopy of trees and white gazebo. Ely’s uncle officiated the ceremony with guests from Texas, Oregon and Michigan in attendance. Emily’s husband even played guitar during the couple’s communion!

The Ballroom space had round tables decorated with maroon flowers with gold geometric vases and accents. FAT Cupcake made the tiered cake with maroon and white flowers. The couple danced their first dance, and had a song with each of their parents which is always a sweet moment. They danced the night away until their exit with all their friends and family gathered to wave them off. We can;t wait for the next wedding in this family line! We love them!

Allison & Marc's Wedding at The Reserve Vineyards and Golf Club

Thumbnail photo by E Ann. Photography.

Allison and Marc’s country club wedding got off to a great start with our good friend, Dallas Merkley of Merkley Artistry, doing the hair and makeup. The bride opted for a smoky, dramatic eye and nude lips with her blonde hair curled with a tiara. Her strapless dress was from Bridal Exclusives and her shoes were the same that Sarah Jessica Parker wore in Sex in the City The Movie! I’d know those Badgley Mishkas anywhere.

We always love working at The Reserve Vineyards and Golf Club because Yelena King is one of the best planners and coordinators around! We also had the pleasure of meeting Elizabeth Parker, the owner of E. Ann Photography and her second shooter for the day Alexis Rae.

Bust A Move DJ’s rocked the house all night long and even played games on the dance floor. Yelena even took us out in a golf cart with the bride and groom to get some awesome sunset footage. Allison & Marc danced while we played music out of our portable speaker!

FEATURED on Pacific Weddings Magazine! Coastal Elopement at Indian Beach

This was one of our favorite shoots of the year and we were so excited to be involved! Dorothea Dragomir of Kamea Events once again styled and organized a fantastic shoot on the Oregon coast last week at Indian Beach. Kelsey Sjorstrom of Feather and Twine Photography from Austin, Texas, took film and digital photographs of models Kelly Rotbart and Gordon Casey who coincidentally got engaged a few weeks prior!

Alyssa Lytle of Color Theory Collective recreated a circle-of-flowers illusion by securing flowers to various trees for the ceremony setup. Dorothea and Alyssa created the table setting with silk from Seda Medicina and place cards by Natalie Garrigan from Pink by Peach. Kelly wore a dress by Truvelle Bridal and Gordon wore a suit with a funky tie by The Black Tux.

We made a Behind the Scenes film to show all the hard work these talented creatives put into one awesome shoot. Check out the Vibes Film above!

Christine & Alan's Wedding in Sonoma, CA

We love travelling for weddings because it's something different to shake up the routine and we discover hidden, awesome venues. Christine and Alan got married at the Carneros Resort and Spa in Sonoma County, California, with vineyards and hills all around. The day started off just like the couple: chill and fun. The bride's bungalow was right next the grooms and even shared a cute porch with an outdoor bathtub. Violet Prather from The Makeup Dolls got Christine camera ready with flawless bridal makeup and hair. The florals arrived during preps by Julie Stevens Design and had blush and white flowers throughout.

The bride's godsister's husband officiated the ceremony on this day of perfect weather under two palm trees at the Carneros Resort. Their guests had cute parasols to shade them from the California heat. After the ceremony, guests walked on a path to the main building of the resort, and hung out in the courtyard until dinner was ready. There were beautiful hand-made signs all throughout the venue by Ji Kim-Fung of JK Design Cal, who also helped coordinate the event alondside Cindy Dumlao of Happily Ever After SF. This was one of the smoothest and on-time weddings we've been to thanks to their punctuality and organization.

We had so much fun shooting next to Jeremy and Carly of One Love Photography all day and had good collaboration going. It's always nice when we can make new friends in the photogs and it adds so much to the day! They were creative and just so easy to be around.

The space for the reception was decadent with hexagon tiles with each guests name on them, centerpieces of blush florals and gold accents, and blue uplighting throughout. DJ Mixterious and his crew spinned cocktail hour and the reception all night long.  Of course our favorite part was golf carting over to an epic sunset spot and playing Post Malone while the couple danced in the twilight. Music is such a huge part of what we do and we were lucky enough that the couple has almost identical taste as we do! Check out their Preview Film above and their Highlight Film below!
