This was our second wedding in one week with Madeline Moore Events and it’s always such a treat to know that everything is going to run smoothly! The difference in our cortisol levels is drastic between when there’s a competent planner and when there is just us and the various vendors trying to make stuff happen on time! We also lucked out with one of the chillest couple’s, Stephanie and Nick, who came all the way from Brooklyn, NY.
In the morning, we went to the Jupiter Hotel in SE Portland and filmed Stephanie getting ready with her sisters, and Nick getting ready with his older brother and two good friends. Jupiter has a really cool bar there, so Krishna got some shots of the groomsmen while they took shots at the bar. MUAH by Tiffany Randolph got the girls wedding ready, styling the bride with natural makeup and loose curls. After the wedding party was dressed, we all headed out to Saint Irene’s Event Center in Tualatin, which we’ve never been to before! The staff was super friendly and although it was a tight space, everyone worked together to figure it out. The bride made all of her own signs that were around the venue and they even had temporary tattoos for their guests of their faces! That’s definitely one of my favorite touches I’ve seen at a wedding. Mimosa Floral Co. created traditional bouquets and boutonnieres and arranged a lot of greenery on the long, reception tables. We had the pleasure of meeting and working with Lady and Gent, a husband and wife photography ream who we’ve heard about before.
Their ceremony took place inside the event space, but what made it really beautiful, was the chevron pattern of the white wall behind them and the rows of greenery that Mimosa Floral Co. hung on the ceiling throughout the entire room. Cocktail Hour took place outside in the back of the building, while the staff was all hands on deck turning the ceremony site into the reception site, with rectangular wooden tables from West Coast Event Productions. Donutland set up an enormous spread of donuts, which was very tempting to eat all night long. Dinner was a buffet by the venue which was absolutely delicious, I just don’t remember what it was! After dinner, one of Stephanie’s sister’s gave a toast followed by Nick’s older brother. DJ Sugar Robinson was one outstanding DJ, being primarily a club DJ. Needless to say, these New York and Portland people danced their asses off until the second we left at 10:30 pm! Watch their quick Preview Film above!
