This saga starts in 2017 when. We drove to the California coast to film Tiffany and Diego's wedding, where most of their friends and family flew form the east coast and Florida to attend. One other bridesmaids, Monica, got in touch with us a few months later to see if we would film her and Cesar's wedding in New Jersey. We love to travel so we immediately jumped at the opportunity!
We flew into Philadelphia Friday evening, picked up our rental car and drove to the garden State. After having some much needed Indian food at a restaurant under a Holiday inn, we went to our hotel and immediately passed out. The next day (wedding day!) We went to the historic Smithville Inn in Absecon, NJ and found the rooms where Monica and Cesar were staying in. We met the hilarious and fun photographers Nicole Shilli of Shilli Day Photography and he second, Carey. Gina of Gina Jost Makeup and Hair Artistry made our gorgeous bride some how even more stunning with a half up soft hairdo and glamorous bridal makeup. Her mother helped her into her beaded Maggie Sottero dress which she got at Wedding Belle’s Boutique.
Krishna filmed Cesar getting ready with his guys as they said toasts and put on cream colored suits. After taking photos of Cesar and his groomsmen and Monica and her bridesmaids on the circular dock over the Smithville pond, the ceremony took place outside of the Smithville Inn. Their bridesmaids flowers were from Pocket Full of Posies Floral. The bride and groom said heartfelt vows which you can see in their Preview Film above! After their ceremony, we took the while bridal party to the carousel across the tiny historic town and had them all take a ride for some cinematic and fun shots.
Their reception kicked off in the banquet hall at the Inn with the introductions of their families and bridal party, followed immediately by their choreographed first dance. The night kicked off with amazing food and a killer dance party from DJ Slick Rick! We even hit the dance floor with past bride Tiffany and groom Diego! Late that night, we packed up our gear and headed back to our hotel, with that amazing wedding afterglow. We watched footage on the backs of our cameras from bed, because that's how much we loved the shots we got.
The next day, although we were exhausted, we filmed establishing shots at Smithville and had so e great conversations with a few shop owners. After our work was done, we drove to the colony of Basto Village, which is a fully preserved English colony and hit the Jersey Shore in Ocean City. The day after that, we headed to Philly where we found an awesome vegan restaurant (which were lacking in New Jersey) and then headed to the airport. In line for security, we reflected on our east coast trip and noted just how crazy it is how everything worked out perfectly and that every single person we encountered was incredibly warm and welcoming.
We are so honored we had the opportunity to fly to Jersey to do what we do best for an incredible couple, Monica and Cesar! Watch their Preview Film above! Highlight Film coming soon!
