This was, to out it simply, a perfect wedding. The setting was gorgeous, the weather was overcast and 70, and the people involved were awesome. Merran and Jeff are so in love and it comes across in their vows and how they look at each other. The day started with Merran getting ready with her bridesmaids in a treehouse at Skamania Lodge. Jeff got ready with his groomsmen in a hotel room with a stunning view. Onsite Portland did all the hair and makeup and got this beautiful group of girls wedding ready. They cheers'd with their Moscow mule cups near the fireplace in their matching robes.
The Blooming Bride did all the flowers, with wild bouquets that had proteus as the main draw. The guys wore blue slacks with brown suspenders and shoes, and the gals wore different dresses of blush. After bridal party photos in high, wild grass, the photog, Sara K Byrne, had the couple sit in the grass to get some unique media. I was very inspired by this and have been trying to think out of the box ever since! Jordan from Totem Weddings planned the whole thing and set up the ceremony site at Skamania with a copper arch and a bunch of mismatched carpets in the aisle. The whole ceremony was unbelievably beautiful, both in sentiment and setting. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails, live music from Blue Wave Band and fire pits spaced around the reception site.
The band had the party going all night as the sun set over the mountains. There was a huge dessert table from Just A Dash Cakes. The bride’s boho dress was made by Rish Bridal, the Nina design, and Merran got it at the amazing A and Be Bridal shop. We took the couple out at Golden hour for perfect light and had them slow dance in the grass. Check out their preview above!
