Lightroom PDX Fine Art Shootout

The Lightroom studio in Portland owned by MacCoy and Dallas Merkley put on awesome events throughout the year to get the photographer community inspired and into the studio. For this one, Dorothea Dragomir of Kamea Events designed this Fine Art shoot with simple, local florals, muted colors, and tasteful tablescape. Caroline Reusen did the florals, which consisted of white ranunculus and local muscari. Dallas Merkley did Ruby Martinez, the female model’s, makeup and hair, where she did a bold brow and low bun. Ruby wore a handmade gown from Ivy and Astor and Bo Baskoro, the male model, wore a white tux from the Black Tux. Everglow Handmade created the invitations for the Invite Suite, as well as custom-lettered name tags for the tablescape. Dream Cakes made a very unique cake that had a glass box with flowers in it for one of the tiers. Peter Corvallis Productions provided rentals for the ceremony set-up and reception table, including wooden chairs with white fabric, cake table, and draped blue linens.

Photographers were given one hour time slots so they could capture the magic inside without things getting too crowded. This shoot was focused fine-art photographers, achieved by the clean, white details, green and white florals, and elegant reception table. Check out the event video above!
