Sometimes we travel from our homebase and fantasyland in Oregon to film a few epic weddings we just can't miss. Gabriella & Paul's wedding in Clovis, California was one of these weddings. The bride looked breathtaking in a nude illusion embellished gown with makeup by Kelli Torrence of Forever Adored.
The ceremony and reception took place at a friend of the couple's extensive estate with a view of the Sierra Nevada's and surrounding cow herds. All of the lighting, tables, chairs, tent, and dance floor were brought in by Expo Party Rentals and Jason Lawton of Setting the Stage. Cassandra Turner of Weddings by Cassandra planned the perfect outdoor occasion and was fun and helpful all day long.
The highlight of the day was their choreographed first dance with songs handpicked by Gabriella and Paul. Starting off the dance was Corinne Bailey Rae's version of "Is This Love," followed by Michael Jackson's "The Way You Make Me Feel," The Lion King's "Ah Zabenya," Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, and of course Ray LaMontagne. We were throughly impressed with their dance skills and just the amount of preparation you need to do for one awesome number.
The sunset over the hills was painted with hues of orange, red, yellow, and pink and made for an incredible backdrop for filming the bride and groom. They even did their first dance in a field just for the film! Little things like these make such a big difference in the final product.
Michael Antonia from The Flash Dance spinned vinyl and scratched records live all night as the party went on into the wee hours. What a way to kick off the 2018 wedding season; let's do this!!!
